This is the way I do it tell me how you do it:I attach my strings to a dowel with a larks head knot and when I am finished I tie at end and if you want to you can pull out the dowel. How do you do it? |

Usually I just do 20+ strings like any other bracelets. I think doing a dowel rod with like 35+ strings is better cause 20-34 is still okay for a bracelets.

I make a HUGE UGLY knot in the top. With a large wad of string in the top. I knot about 6-7 rows. Then I untie the ugly knot. If you folded the strings in half, I cut them in the center and braid/twist. Since the bracelet is large in width, I recommend dividing the strings into several braids. Then I continue knitting and place my clipboard on the 6-7 rows of knots already completed. Once I finish the appropriate length of bracelet, I braid/twist the ends and knot them and cut off extra string.

I use a buckle loop method (tutorial on this site). Or I stick the strings in the pattern order between two pieces of masking tape. When I'm done tying the bracelet, I just pull the tape off and braid the ends. Makes the ends look nice, neat and straight.

basically what everyone else said, I split it up into knots (sections) of more reasonable string numbers and start tying. once im a good 10 or so rows in I will go back and undo all my knots and make the end however I planned on it (braids, finishing clasps, etc)

For me I start with one of the knot loops and but a button on the end when I’m done, plus they are a lot easier to wear
