Adjustable bracelets

Hi, so I’m trying to make my bracelet adjustable and it’s not working. I’ve done it multiple times in the past but right now it’s being weird. I do square knots and add a bit of nail polish then cut the extra string off. It ends up being difficult to like make bigger and stuff, help?

@halokiwi that’s a very nice video, thanks for suggesting it! The problem is, I already make the bracelets and ties and trimmed it, so I can’t make it longer or anything. I’ll probably just keep trying with the nail polish and whatever bc theres 4 bracelets and I’m giving them as gifts on Wednesday so I don’t have time to redo them.
