I just go on Amazon and look for the embroidery floss with the best ratings.

I mostly use embroidery thread, but I also use crochet thread. In my experience, crochet thread breaks more often than embroidery thread, but if you make looser knots that might not be an issue. I prefer DMC brand thread when using embroidery thread because it comes in more colors than other brands i've used, but loops and threads brand is good too. |

I absolutely love an embroidery floss on Amazon from a seller called "Lovimag," their floss is absolutely amazing for the price! I never have issues with fraying for fuzzing, and the softness and smoothness of that floss makes it easy to work with. The colors match DMC too! I hope this helps!

@cole_ Would you say the thickness of Lovimag is about the same as Loops and Threads? If you’ve never used that, is it the same thickness as DMC?

unfortunately I've never used loops and threads, but it's definitely virtually the same thickness as dmc! when i run out of a color of lovimag and i need another skein of that color, i just buy a single skein of dmc with the same number as the lovimag thread and you can't tell a difference! c:

@cole__ I’ve never used DMC, but Loops and Threads is also a six-strand embroidery floss, which I’ve heard is about as thick as DMC. I just saw Lovimag on Amazon and it was super cheap, so I was thinking about getting it.

@oceanknot definitely go for it! i will say, usually they deliver on time (early in most cases) but recently i reordered some more thread from them and it was delayed by a whole week, but the sellers were really cool about it and gave me a refund while sending me a replacement, so now two weeks later i have 280 thread for free haha! overall i highly recommend!
