SO I normally make bracelets with embroidery floss, but its so expensive. Is there a cheaper alternative that still gives good results?

Craft cord is a cheaper alternative which still creates good results but it can snap a lot if that’s an issue for you

@amwatson I normally make my bracelets tight, so it might be an issue but I'll definitely try it. Do you know where I could get some?
@KBT ohhh okay!!! I get kits sometimes that you can get at walmart from family members, is it like that?

Yeah, I didn’t have an issue with my craft cord snapping when I first started using it but recently I’ve been making my bracelets, especially my alphas a lot tighter because for me that produces neater results but it has been cutting my hands a lot and giving me blisters as well as snapping. And I’ve heard you can get it in bulk for really cheap in Walmart. Also DMC cotton pearl is a higher quality version but it can be pretty expensive

@amwatson I've heard of String rubbing against your fingers and even burning it, but I've never had that issue with my bracelets. I make them really tight, I worked on #25054 for a little bit for a bookmark and it wouldn't bend unless I made it do the snap-bend (folding chair way lol) and my hands were perfectly fine. It could just be that I'm using some good string lol. I have to go later today to walmart so I'll see what they have there! Thank you so much!

@Deer-Teeth I've seen huge packs on Wish for only $25, the problem is tho is it takes some time to ship.

@inc224 Oh really?? I normally shop their for non-bracelet stuff and I don't think i've ever seen thread there! I'll look the next time I go out, it could be that it's not what I went there for lol

@Deuken Is wish reliable? It doesn't seem like it would be a good site to be on, considering the prices or the content there. I know that there are good reviews on the products, but people get paid to do that sometimes

@Deer-Teeth If you don't really trust wish, then Amazon is definitely the second-best bet. I've bought some of the big packs of thread and like them.

i buy amazon pilleay in a pack of 150. sometimes the colors are beautiful, sometimes it comes in a few colors and a mix of a lot of greens and grays... so it’s based on luck i guess... i have mixed feelings about that lol! but the texture of the string is great

I use the loops and treads brand in Michael’s and it’s pretty cheap.

I often order a pack with 150/200 colors for around 10 euros (I think thats about 12 dollars). I've never had an issue with the quality of it
