Am I tying upside down?

So I've watched several tutorial videos trying to learn ways to do patterns. But it seems the way I've been trying for years is upside down?! Instead of my tying strings crossing over they cross under. I've been tying this way so long it feels natural. Anyone else tie this way? Any tips on using this style with patterns?

I tie this way haha I weave underhand rather than overhand actually if you go to Latin and South America most of the indigenous people tie like this 😄 don't worry you're not doing it wrong!

Aena- so if you tie underhand-it will look like the two knots that make up the one single
