how to make shaped patterns into earrings??

hi! i’ve been wanting to make earrings for a while and i saw #60480 and i thought it would look super cute as earrings!i was thinking i’d make like one of snowflake shapes and attach it to an earring hook, but i’m not sure how to do that or how to start it... maybe making a little loop at the top and then attaching it to the earring hook...? idk! any ideas or tips for this would be very appreciated! thanks! |

Hi! So to make the earrings you would need fishhook earrings, jump rings, pliers and the supplies to make the earrings. You can either make a loop and put it through the jump ring before knotting or use the larks head knot to attach the strings to the jump ring. Of course first you must attach the jump ring to the fish hook but either way they should be fine.

Hmm I have never made earrings before but I am sure I can help! I have seen many people use loops for some of my shaped bracelets as earrings but for the snowflake one in particular a loop would be difficult due to an odd number of each color so you might need to cut 6 or each and weave one out maybe ? You could try attaching the loop to the earring with a jump ring or something a little bigger so you don’t have to try to fit it in the tiny opening. Hope this makes sense and is helpful! @2006_Mandy ok thanks so much! yea i have a bunch of jewelry supplies from a couple years ago so i should be able to find all that. not sure if i still have hump rings or if they’d be big enough but hopefully!@SC00PSAH0Y yea ofc i love that pattern!! 🤦🏼♀️didn’t realize the uneven number... hmm thanks for letting me know haha! @halokiwi ohhh just read it! very helpful 😄 |

ooh wait i just got an idea! do you think i could do the pattern without the two rows around the edge of the design...? then there would only be 18 strings so i could make a loop at the top! would that work though or would the design still look good without a border?

If that doesnt work out I have the pattern in alpha format so you could try it with a triangle end on the top although I'd only do that if the shaped patter isn't possible.

you can make a small loop and attach it to the earring piece, then start the “bracelet”!
