where you guys buy your multi colored thread?

I literally can't find multi colored thread anywhere. you say you can find them on amazon etc .... but i am really looking for large reels of thread like mashaknots she has a lot of that thread. do you know where I can find that?

you can find a lot of different kinds of multicolor thread! if you want a thread that is a gradient, that is one main color but get lighter and darker, look on websites like Walmart or Michaels by looking up "gradient embroidery floss". if you want a thread that has multiple colors, look up "variegated embroidery floss" on places like Michaels or Etsy, because a lot of small businesses hand-dye thread and it looks amazing!

thank you 😃 but wouldn't there also be multi colored thread from treadworkx? because if I were to buy a roll of dmc I could never use it for the whole background color and I have only seen a rainbow multi color from treadworkx. would there not also be other colors?

Lion Brand Yarn Summer Nights is a really beautiful multi color thread that is also sparkly. You can find it at Amazon and a lot of other craft stores sell it online. It comes in a huge bundle of yarn with 875 yards I believe.

you can get a bunch of multicoloured thread in russia, but u cant at the minute so after lockdown u might be able to.

hahaha @cactuscatv but @oceanknot this is really exactly what I was looking for thanks but what does that kind of wool actually call it is exactly the same thickness as dmc tread when I look for wool I always come across that super thick hairy wool 😂 if I know how so ' One kind of wool named I might also find wool with sparkles etc ......

It’s actually called acrylic yarn, but it is very thin. I believe that it is meant for crotchet.

J&P coats has a pack of tie dye thread, I get those at Walmart. I know prism also has a tie dye pack and you can get that at Michaels and I’ve also seen it on Amazon

@Okeeto i know i also came across it on amazon when i was looking for it. 😃 @oceanknot where can you find the thickness of the wool I have looked and I only find how much it weighs 😂 and do you guys also use treadworkx and if so is that good wool and is that the same thickness as dmc thread because there I have also found many colors

I actually don’t know the exact thickness, sorry. I’ve just seen people use it in their bracelets, so I know it works. It also looks like it’s the right thickness in the picture. I’ve never heard of threadworkx, so I don’t know about that either.
