Hey, so I want to make pattern #61622 but it’s the first wall hanging I’ll have made with an even amount of strings (not counting a knotting string) does anybody know how to add a knotting string onto the stick? I hope this makes sense? This is a bit of a shorter explanation- I want all 37 strings on the stick but I don’t know how to do this. Please help!

i’m not exactly sure how to tie it onto the stick but if you tape the end down and start knotting you can easily tie it off with another string at the back. i hope that might be able to help you out

Hi! Kinsey b has a super helpful YouTube video on this!! She explains making a keychain but the same would go for a dowel of a wall hanging! Search “how to make alpha patterns on a keychain” and the knots she uses are larks head knots for the base strings!

You can make slip knots! It's kinda hard to explain in words, but you can probably find some tutorials on youtube 🙂
