My alphas look really bad, I do the flat alpha technique, but it still looks bad, what are ways I can make mine better?

The only way is to just practice, practice and practice. Maybe watch some tutorials or knot-with-me videos on alphas to get a look at the techniques. Alphas are really difficult and it takes time to get them to look good. Two things you should pay attention to are to use the same brand strings so that no string makes bigger knots than another. And make sure to keep the knot tension the same. Hope this helps you a bit❤️ |

Try using similar size threads and if your knots aren't good don't try over and over making an alpha review the basic normal bracelets with the different knots (ie, candy stripe, chevron, chinese staircase, flip flop, etc. Once you get these knot done easily and they look good then you will do good at an alpha

Try to use threads that are all the same brand/size. You can also straighten the rows/edges of your bracelet with a ruler as you are knotting! Alphas do take some practice, if you continue to struggle, slow down a bit and focus on even knot tension, and re-watch tutorials if needed.
