Flat end to make a bookmark

Hi guys, Does anyone know how to finish a pattern (normal or alpha) with a flat bottom? I want to make mine into bookmarks and I’ve been putting tassels on them but would love to make them flat at the end for a clean look! Thanks!

It works for both alphas and normals all you really have to do is cut most of the strings off apply clear nail polish and then cut the rest off completely and apply more clear nail polish. That’s how I tend to to it
