I was wondering if you're going to do a pattern with a design in the middle that's supposed to be centered, how do you make sure it will be centered?

Well if you know about how long a bracelet needs to be for your wrist, subtract the #of rows long the design is from the total length. Then divide the #thats left by 2 and tie that many rows on either side. For example, if I need a bracelet to be 70 rows and I want a 30 row design in the middle, I'd subtract 70-30 and have 40 rows left. Then I'd divide 40/2 and have 20. So i'd tie 20 rows on either end of the 30 row design, making 20+30+20=70. Hope that makes sense.
