Use the straight edges technique. The bumpy edges are caused by making only forward and only backward knots on the edge strings. Instead, make forward-backward knots on the right edge string and backward-forward knots on the left edge string. This will make the edges straight and without bumps. And you could also check out videos on YouTube regarding the straight edges and flat alpha techniques 👍 😊
