How Long to Cut Strings

I'm planning on making pattern #31210. There is a lot of white, or whatever color your using in place, and want to know if I should cut extra. Thank you so much! 😊 😄

If I were to make this pattern, I would probably cut each of the 16 strings to be about to my fingertips to my shoulder. But you ca fo anything.

i cut my strings around 90 cm normally, so id just cut an extra 10 cm to make it a whole meter? good luck! 💫🌩🌟

@bunnychick A good starting measurement expands the length of your arm to your chest or opposie shoulder. A little trick to know if you'll need more or less length for certain colors is to isolate the path of each string and count the knots. For pattern #31210 each white string (A) has 6 knots and each colored string has 9 knots. So comparitively, you'll use a bit less white than the other colors. 🙂

If you can see that theres more of a color than others, you can cut more. Personally I find/estimate the longest amount and cut every string to that length, just because.Honestly It's up to you, but Good Luck and Happy knotting! |
