Hi so I tried to make my first normal that had more then only a few strings (16 to be exact). And I kinda failed because some holes started popping up here and there... Idk why maybe I just couldn't get the knots tight enough... It was a little hard to see the actual pattern I was trying to make because I messed up I guess ๐Moving on to the QUESTION: How can I/How did you master normals, what patterns can I do to get better? Also if you have other advice I would appreciate it. |

Try pattern #10543. It is really easy and was easy for me to make. ๐

Sometimes certain patterns just end up having holes, no matter how much you tighten your knots. I know it isn't as attractive, but sometimes it really can't be helped!

I find the best way is to make your first knot (background knot) tightish so that it pulls the previous knot to the start of the new knot and the second knot not too tight
