For those of you who use this method, do you think it's worth it? From the pictures i saw the alphas turn out way neater and the design was easier to see but it seems unnatural(?) What do you think?

I tried it out, I think that it works well with patterns where you want the end product to look exactly like the pattern instead of slightly distorted which is how it turns out with the normal alpha technique. Also, I think upside down alphas would work well for patterns where you want straight lines. Overall it takes longer, but it’s worth it if you want a super clean result

at the beginning your knots take way longer and you have to pull tighter if you have long lines. If it is worth it realy depends on you but I persoonally think that the flat alpha technique looks neater than the upside down alpha in real life. But I tryed it with a pattern that hd a lot of coulor changes and it did not look that great

I did it once, but since main part of the bracelet was centred I did the first part normally. I found it difficult to tie the knots, I ended up tying the knots the right side up way, and carried the string over on the same side. It sounds confusing, but I felt it was easier. Also a tip, is ti keep the base strings as straight as possible. This prevents it from looking wobbly.

It really depends on if you like the look enough or not. I do both but I do really like the upside down look the more I do it, I think it looks nice and clean but it is a little more of a pixel look than a normal alpha. It will take a while to get used to knotting upside down but once you get it it takes roughly the same amount of time as a regular alpha- the first few rows will feel ridiculous and clumsy but it gets better- promise! I do find that it’s easier to pinch your colours changes in the upside down method for some reason but if you’re careful it shouldn’t be much of an issue.
