What do you when your color change is the second knot on the edge? I watched Masha knots video but she didn't mention it.

What I do is for say I’m doing a row of backward knots and need to change on the edge I will not put my current leading string through the string I am switching to. So i would make my backward forward knot twice and then if I had to switch on the second knot there I would use that old string to make the knot and I would put the old leading string through

When there is a color change on the edge, you do not use the flat alpha technique. You should put the string of the second knot from the edge aside, then bring over the color string for the edge and make those knots. Then you can go back to the flat alpha technique when you're done with the edges. Hopefully this makes sense. Happy knotting! 😄
