I have a huge problem with making aphas!! I've searched up and read at lest a dozen tutorials for alpha patterns and Every time I tie mor than one knot with the letter string, it goes all droopy and diagonal like the irregular friendship bracelet tutorial. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???!!! HEEEELP!!!!

Firstly, are you working on a multi-colour alpha or a regular alpha? There could be a few things going on that could cause this problem. 1. Take a look at your strings, if you're using embroidery floss, different brands have different thread counts, one extra thread in a string an make your knots uneven.2. Your tension might be off, pay attention to how you pull your strings every time and try to make the tension the same. If you're tying too loosely it can make your knots have strings in between or can cause uneven knots and also cause your bracelet to get a 'warped' look. 3. |
