I have always struggled with a colour change at the edge. Example: #31247. Any tips?

I also have the same problem. I normally try to just wrap the old string around the edge to the back and do my best, for me, there is not really any right way. Sorry I couldn't help much. 😢

If you use the straight edges technique, the string won’t poke out from the side

I use the straight edges technique and also have a gel witch is used to fix stuff while sewing and I use that one to fix it on the back. If you don't have things like this you can also use glue but if you wear your bracelet it can rub of your skin
