soo its my first alpha and i chose the 10 string sunflower pattern (#38930) and im doing the triangle ends and starts and i used the flat alpha technique but it still doesnt look straight 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

You definitely have to practice. Also, make sure all the strings are the same brand. Different thicknesses in the string can cause unevenness. Another thing is practice your color changes! Once you get those down, straight edges come naturally!

practice makes perfect! More even knot sizes between color switches and just in general will make things more even and that comes with practice

i think my first few rows are pretty bad but it worked out in the end (it just doesnt look as straight as id like 😂)

I did the same way on my first alpha! Don't worry! Just keep doing them and then you will get better! Just keep working on it!

I can only agree with the others. Just keep practicing.
For me it was easier in the beginning not to use the straighten end technique. So maybe you can try that.
But in general it's the same as the others say. Practice a lot and it will get better and better 😄
