Hi !
It is Samiksha here
Okay ... So I can make 10 - 15 string normals and 5-10 string alphas . Whenever I start a bigger pattern , I can't stay put and get distracted. Any ideas to stay put?
Thanks anyway!

Maybe set goals? Like get one set of rows done (orfor longer patterns, 10 or so rows). then go and take a break. Think of it like a big paper for school. You need to do it in parts.

I print out all of the patterns I tie. After I print them out, I use a ruler to draw a really straight line after every fifth row of the pattern. Then I make myself tie at least five rows before I do anything else.

You may also want to try putting yourself in a place that's free of distractions. Leave your cell phone/laptop in another room, stay away from the TV. Just turn on some music, pop in the earbuds, and fall into the zone. It's hard to get distracted once you get in the zone.

I sometimes will tie five rows then on a piece of paper write "start row six,6,". Then I will carefully fold up the bracelet attaching that paper to the section of bracelet I have already tied using a safety pin. So that both the bracelet and the paper are connected with a safety pin in case I do not get back to the bracelet as soon as I wish. This really helps remind me what row I stopped on and what row I need to start on.

Practise making the largest bracelet you can sit through. Gradually you will build speed at which time you can go up to a larger pattern much easier. I used to hate sitting through big bracelets and never could but when you finally make them you feel really good so now I love bug projects 🙂
