As far as I'm aware BB does allow political patterns because pattern making is a creative process in which people have freedom. Mods are not supposed to decline a political because of their views, even if they don't like the message of the pattern, if there is nothing wrong with it then they have to accept it. Maybe a moderator can clarify this?

all i know is that they do not promote censorship. so they are not allowed to decline a political pattern just because it’s political. however, i feel like they should also be concerned about the effects of a political pattern, like the argument the pattern may provoke in the comments. i wish they’d clarify their stance on political patterns too though.

All patterns are held to the same standard and guidelines- @Admin recently made the guidelines public if you would like to take a look:https://www.braceletbook.com/review-guidelines/ Just like forum posts and comments, so long as the pattern meets those standards and does not evidently spout hate at a person or group (ex. we would not accept a pattern with a nazi swastika, as it is a blatant hate symbol) it should be accepted. Here's a snippet from our guidelines: "- posts which can insult or upset someone, or are otherwise inappropriate - too negative posts - spam (similar posts from the same user)" The same applies to comments and forum posts (as the above snippet shows). If you would like more detailed information or have questions, I'm sure admin would be happy to answer them for you! It should also be noted that I don't speak on behalf of BB, so if I have misinterpreted something or misspoken Admin please feel free to correct me! |
