How do you do a challenge?

I don’t get how you enter a challenge. I know that you post the picture on the page for a pattern, but do you have to reply to the forum for the challenge and say the patterns that you did?

you just have to post the picture and say “may challenge” etc in the picture somewhere. that’s all!!
