No it is not. To my knowledge, it is a rival site that was started in 2007 by Stefan and Jaküb (aka Admin) started BB 2010. Because of FB’s seniority, it has more patterns, but Admin has actually taken the time to make things look nice which is maybe why BB is more active. I don’t know why it’s almost taboo to mention the other when on one of them.

yeah, they’re strangely competitive with each other. personally, i just want to find good patterns, and i don’t care that much where they come from...

@BeadGirl16 @narwhal16 that makes sense as to why they are competitive. I mean, companies go through similar rivalries too. But when I looked for any info about BraceletBook on the other site, people hated it due to photo stealing. It went as far as people claiming that patterns on their site that were originally @CWillard 's is revenge for the times we stole.

@TESTERBEN oh... well that’s a completely different story. That’s crazy and sad. Like others have said, there is only so many combinations of knots and there’s also a saying “great minds think alike” so it completely possible that two different people can make the same pattern

😂I wondered why I was getting messages asking about this! I didn't think it was really that 'relevant' anymore. The two are definitely NOT related and yes there was a bit of a feud some years ago and yes it had to do with theft accusations. There was a period of time where some users were very us vs them and maintained a kind of loyalty to one over the other. This isn't really the case anymore but the result is that you cannot post links to 'competition' sites, so any site that posts bracelet-type patterns. Some users who are into 'candi' (or candy? you know, the beadwork stuff) will find that trying to post to those pattern sites will be deleted as well.

Ah, thank you everyone for replying. I was just wondering if the two were related due to similar formats, but I went into a rabbit hole full of controversy, etc.
