I think someone else mentioned something like this, but there’s a bunch of patterns that are great but I’d like to change a few knots to segment it, or use it as a sort of base for a pattern that I think would look cool. Of course it would cause an issue if people resubmitted others patterns but slightly changed (too similar) but I feel like it would be helpful to at least be able to see what a pattern would look like with some edits, and maybe add it as a variation (idk) hopefully this makes sense 😊

I know that I could write it out with the changes, but I think this would be a quick and easy way to make adjustments to a pattern

You could also take a screenshot of a pattern and open it in a photo editing program like MashaKnots sometimes does in her videos. That way you can also change knots.

If it's only small changes like if there's two strings of the same colour and the creator has written a b knot but you'd like to do a f knot I don't think it's super necessary to change that in the pattern.

But if it's bigger changes like it's a 1212 pattern and you'd like to turn it into a normal normal pattern I understand where you're coming from. But I don't think there's a way to go about it but manually copying the pattern into the generator.

@halokiwi that’s a good idea, I’ll definitely use it for knots of the same color 😊 although a big part of it is 1212 patterns 🙂

Actually, the reason I thought of this was because I was trying to make #6390 into a pattern that can be segment knotted. 😊
