Questions about Variations

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to edit other user's patterns for my own use. For example, adding a string on either side and adding bf or fb knots in order to do the straight edge technique. Or, taking a bracelet such as 10444 and removing some strings to make it thinner. If this is not possible (I suspect this), then I highly recommend it to the admins as an upgrade. Thank you for any assistance.

I think it used to be possible but it was removed because people would misuse it and submit patterns where they only made tiny changes from the original.Your best option would be to manually copy the pattern into the pattern generator. |

Once upon a time, you were able to adjust things other than just the colours when you selected 'create a variation'. However, duplicates became an issue as people would change one or two knots and the system would then recognise it as an entirely different bracelet. This, of course, would lead to some people making duplicate patterns to intentionally progress their forum rank without truly contributing to the community. For this reason, unfortunately, I don't expect these features will come back.

@halokiwi Is it possible to see the list of knots so I could copy and paste into the generator? Or would I have look at the pattern and manually type it?
