Why can’t I use black in my pattern that I’m trying to submit? I can use a different color I don’t mind, but I see other patterns with black and it’s confusing me. How do they get black on their patterns but I can’t do it? 🥹

You can't use black or very dark colours because the pattern grid has black lines. These lines would not be visible well, if black or a very dark colour was used in the pattern. To make patterns more readable, you can't use black or very dark colours.262626 is the darkest colour you can use. It looks almost like black but ensures that the grid is still visible. You can of course still use black when actually tying the pattern. You can in fact use any colours you like to tie. The colours are only restricted to ensure the readability of the pattern. |
