why does an extra thread appear in the alphas??🤔

Hii!! I noticed a while ago that in all the alpha patterns in the number of "threads" there is an extra thread... but then in the "dimensions" it appears correctly... does anyone know why this happens? I made a mistake in one of my first bracelets and when I realized I had to keep making it like that and it ended up thicker. 😂

The amount of strings given in alpha patterns is always the amount of base strings plus one extra for the leading strings. Since you are only using one leading string at a time, only one leading string is counted.
