Issue with photo upload

so this is about an issue I've just come to when uploading a photo to the site, or rather trying, as it was rejected for being too blurry. The issue is - The photo looks fine for a general bracelet photo, not even being for any contest or a promotional photo at all (i say this as a qualified graphic designer, having gotten confirmation on that from my designer friends). A tip from the moderator I received was to play around with the settings of the camera, but the thing is - this is as good as my photos get without using ai to upscale them. I don't have a fancy camera in my phone, even tho it was new and using my brother's phone just to upload a photo seems like too much for just a bracelet photo for general upload to the site. I don't want to upscale my photos with AI to avoid this either, because that may potentially feed the photos to the AI. So, the thing I ask is, could the moderators be a bit more lenient on the photos? Or could you please add a note function to photos like the one when uploading patterns? The note function would be better to clear up things users can't avoid, that would generally get their photos rejected, while being a little more lenient on those wouldn't be a big issue. |

At this point i don't care if I'm breaking a rule here but I'll just ping @krazyknots because for the love of god I physically cannot make a better photo.

Like, seriously.. I cannot afford a ohone with a fancy camera and the photos I take are FINE. If these photos aren't enough then clearly I don't deserve ny graphic designer degree.

Make sure the lighting is good (natural light is best) and make sure the focus is on the bracelet. Hold the camera very steady. Are your using your phone to take a photo? Which phone are you using? Most phones should be able to take good enough photos. If yours is an exception, ask a family member or friend to use their phone. If you are using a tablet, I recommend using a phone instead because it is very difficult to hold a tablet stable enough. That's a common issue people had before. It's @KrazyKnotz btw. I'm sure she can answer your questions. |

The photos you have posted so far seem decent 👍Some more tips: - avoid using zoom - don't crop too much - check, if the resolution is really the highest your camera can do |

I'm using the camera in Infinix HOT 40i. The photos I take are good. Nice lighting, steady hold on the phone and bracelet. I even edit the pictures for as much clarity as I can. It's not my fault that a 100 dollar phone can only do so much. The photos aren't even bad. They look good, You can easily tell everything you need from it. I don't know why they keep being declined.. I can't do much about them. |

The quality from my last photos have changed, as my old phone's screen has broken. I can't use it to take photos anymore. The phone I have now just has less megapixels. nothing else changed about the way I take photos..

I genuinely wouldn't mind even going off-site to resolve this issue so i can show the photos cause I swear they are totally fine. I'm not a newbie to photography, I'm a fully qualified graphic designer for crying out loud 😭 The issue isn't on my side, I'm doing everything I can to make the quality as best as I can afford.

I'm super curious, can you upload the photo somewhere like imgbb to see what it's like ? Modern phones all take decent pictures in natural light

I think the issue is actually the sharpening tool you used. Can I see the unedited photo? It might be more acceptable. Individual knots have to be visible clearly. In the photo they seem a bit blurry/grainy. |

No problem 🙂You can also always message KrazyKnotz. If it's a very specific issue, it's often better to handle it this way and you will receive a more specific answer then. No need to be afraid of her 😉 I know I used to be when I joined braceletbook, but she really isn't scary at all. You just need to make sure you spell her username correctly. Otherwise the wrong person or no person at all will get your message. |
