There should be a notes section where people can keep personal notes separate from comments (this should also be able to be private too). This section would be used for recording fixes, modifications, and bracelet length.

this is why I print my patterns so I can mark them! you can draw on them to modify or cross out rows, etc.

You can do that pretty easily by screenshotting the photos and uploading them to a private messenger conversation with yourself or a private discord server! that's how i keep track of my own notes and changes!
