Hi, I think it would be really fun to have a randomize option when searching for patterns. There’s so many of them and I feel like I’m seeing the same ones which shouldn’t be the case because this website has been around for a minute. This gives a chance for older patterns to been seen again and I think that it would be really beneficial for people who want to shake things up or just look at all the patterns bb has to offer 😊.

That would be cool! One thing you can do if you want something random in the meantime is use a random number generator and set it from 1-whatever the most recent pattern’s number is and then put it into the search terms!

to find new patterns, (I usually have a lot of success with this), what I do is use the keywords to find things you like, for example, "bunny" or "candy" or "Halloween" or whatever you want to use and I look through all the patterns from the oldest to newest page. I tend to find pretty good patterns that I never have seen this way. I also think this may have to do with the fact that trends renew every 20 years so since hello kitty was trending around 2004 and it's 2024, when I search for Sanrio I find patterns that are super old but they are exactly what I am looking for now. Yesterday I was searching for bunny patterns. I've already seen all the ones on the newer pages 1-3 but when I search for "bunny" and start on the oldest page 28, I found a bunch of super cute kawaii patterns like #11549, #20311, #35212, #31400 which are super old patterns judging by the pattern numbers and the old keywords that were often used when the site first launched like "cute" and "4colors" that would never be accepted now or recently.

This would actually be useful especially as some keywords are so popular; so trying to get to the older (or even fairly old) patterns means sometimes you have to search through a tonne of pages, and I honestly tend to give up 😂
