I was working on a pattern earlier and I realized it would be very efficient if along with the knot, fill, vertical, and horizontal options, there was an option to just click, drag, and draw (like on pixilart.com). This would make cleaning up an area much easier and quicker. Fill is a good option if every pixel is the same color, and knot is helpful if you have one or two pixels off, but it's really hard when you have a stained glass mosaic mess going on.I know this is a big ask and there's probably some way around it that I didn't think of, but I think this could be a helpful option. Sorry if this is a request better posted under the Generator topic, I just assumed it was more related to site and app ideas |

This sounds like it would be very useful 😄My way around it is to draw my patterns in a pixel art app (I use dotpict), then I download them on the lowest resolution (so one pixel is actually just one pixel) and then I use 'alpha from image' on it. This of course only works when creating patterns from scratch, and not when you want to start out from a photo. The solution would of course need to be something that will also work when visiting the website on your phone. So just clicking and dragging might not be the best option. Dotpict solves this issue by having a draw button at the bottom and you only draw when you click that button and not when you click anywhere else. |

@halokiwi I usually make the pixel art first too, but occasionally I do just add the image, so I can see how that would be helpful. Maybe there could be an option to lock scrolling on the website on a touchscreen when you're coloring, like a little lock and unlock button so that you don't get stuck in anti-scroll mode? Idk, just brainstorming |
