Slightly Altered Pattern Photos

I was wondering if I make a pattern but make a slight adjustment to the pattern, like I made one pattern where I just made one of the knots in the pattern an open knot, can I still post a photo to that pattern? I do this a lot with different patterns and just wasn’t sure.Like it’s far too similar to create a new pattern out of it, it still looks exactly like the pattern I’ve just changed one or two knots on some bracelets |

That should still be accepted

Yeah, that's completely fine 🙂 I also often make adjustments to the pattern while knotting and I never got a pattern declined by one of the other mods for that reason.

I did this with a simple normal pattern and I added strings to make it wider but the moderators kept declining it and saying it wasn’t the right pattern even though it was but I simply added strings

@Jello12335 for some patterns like candystripe or chevrons, we accept them with different amounts of strings, but for other patterns bigger adjustments are usually necessary and there might even be a pattern of this with less or more strings.Could you please let me know which pattern it was and how many strings you added? |

@Jello12335 is it the photo that you have now posted to it? I think the issue is the diamond in the centre. In your bracelet it's four knots while in the pattern it's just one.Something like #25924 would be the 10 string version of #9825, but that's not what you knotted. Yours is more like #40884. |

@halokiwi No it’s a completely different bracelet than that one, I sent a picture of it in a while ago, I don’t even have the bracelet anymore

@Jello12335 ah okay 🙂 then just take this as an example what we mods look at when accepting or declining photos.

I wish when submitting a photo you could leave a comment to the moderators to say you altered it and in “this way”

@Jello12335 when a photo gets declined, you can always message the moderator who declined it and explain to them why you think the photo should be accepted. The moderator can then let the other mods know what you told them. But I agree, something like review notes for photos would be very useful. |
