Im not sure about anyone else, but I often have trouble when it comes to the rating system. I will want to give someone's pattern 5 stars and sometimes I will accidently click 4 stars; I use my mobile for this website so the screen is quite small.I think itd be cool if an option was put in place where the website can ask if you are 100% sure on your choice of rating before submitting it. That way if you accidently click the wrong amount of stars, you can change it to the correct amount of stars you wish to give the pattern. Or, what I think would be helpful is if the rating box was a little bigger, that way this accident could be avoided? I also have trouble when it comes to creating patterns. Sometimes my phone will shut off or I accidentally come off the "Create Pattern" section without saving and my pattern that I've spent a long time on will be gone. An idea of mine is that there should be an option to autosave as you are making the pattern and before you leave the website. That way, if you were to accidently refresh the page, come off the page, or you device shuts down, you will still have the pattern you have worked so hard on. 🙂 |

These are great ideas!The issue with the rating system seems to happen to a lot of mobile users. I experience it as well. A trick I use that helps me with this is I wait about 3 seconds, then zoom in as close to the 5th star as possible before selecting it. An autosave option for patterns would definitely be useful! I think i would want the option to turn it on or off, since the way I make patterns sometimes requires me to backtrack a lot. The majority of the time I'd want it on, but in a few instances I'd want it off. |

Yes! That would be amazing. I feel terrible when I tap 5 stars but it registered as a lower star.I also wonder if the rating system could be changed to binary instead of a 1 to 5 scale. As in users could either star, or not star a pattern. That approach could also prevent users from 1-starring patterns out of hate. Personally only my LGBTQ patterns get 1-stars, and I've noticed there are almost always low ratings on other LGBTQ ones too. I don't know the actual statistics but my impression is that most users rate things either 1 or 5 stars anyways, so a binary system could really help stop rating bullying. |

@just_for_u I didn't mean that ratings should operate like loves. I meant that the rating system could be changed to just 1-star instead a scale of 1 to 5. It would be a way for users to show they like a pattern without it being added to a list on their profile.

Oops… I meant to add that we get notifications when someone rates our patterns, but not when it’s loved or any of that.
