Re-rating a pattern

Nearly every pattern I see that has any comments seems to have at least one comment saying "I meant to rate it 5 stars." I'm not sure it brings the % down that much anyway, but it seems like it happens so much, it would be helpful to be able to re-rate them

The percentage is always the average ratingA one star rating gives 0%, a five star rating 100%, if I remember correctly. Anything else gives anything in between. So how much a rating is brought down by a low rating depends on how low that rating is and how many ratings the pattern already has. In my opinion ratings in their current use are not very useful and they are not very important to me for that reason, because most people only ever give five star ratings and if they give a different rating, it's mainly on accident. I think it's because people feel bad for giving and receiving lower ratings. I once calculated it. If you get a one star rating, it's basically impossible to get to 100% again. You'd have to get a very high amount of five star ratings. |
