Variation limit?

I'm going through a lot of patterns to find one I like, so I'm making a lot of variations to put it in my color scheme, and I keep hitting my variation creating limit!! I worked on some last night and hit it, and then today just did ONE, and when I tried to do a second it told me I couldn't. I'm not submitting them, I'm just testing them!!Is there any way around this? Is there any way testing a variation could be it's own thing (limitless) and actually submitting the variation could be what's limited. It's been extremely frustrating not being able even start a project because I can't test the colors I want to use. |

The limit is actually on how many times you click "add a variation". It does not count how many you actually submit, which gives you an option to sneak around it.One general advice: if you want to test two or more colour combinations for the same pattern, I recommend doing that in the same variation instead of clicking "add variation" again. I noticed for some patterns you added multiple variations. If you just want to test them out, you don't need to submit them. Just change the colours, take a screenshot, change the colours, take a screenshot and so on. A way you can get around the variation limit: you can recreate the pattern from scratch in the generator. If you put the exact same knots, the generator will still recognise it as a variation. This is mostly useful, for patterns that are not very complex or big, because for those it is easier to do it without making mistakes. |

Thank you for the reply! Yes I figured the limit was on clicking the "add a variation" button, as that's where I've been getting stuck. I only submit them once I've tested everything and am ready to make it ☺️. For this instance I know I want to work with blues so I've been opening a lot of patterns I like the shapes of and then trying out blues, so I've been clicking the add a variation button a lot haha. I might try out the generator! Great idea. |
