I’m adding a variation I’m not sure I’m doing this correctly.
so I just pressed add variation and I selected my colors but it said “Consider using more distinctive colors in your patterns if possible, please (c=d, d=e).
This pattern already exists as #11539, but can be added as its variation”. What does that mean?
Thanks!

For the first part it means that the colors might be hard for some people to tell the difference between. The second part always pops but when you’re adding a variation. You can just ignore it though.

Yes, as @x_x said the warning for similar colors is triggered when colors are too similar to each other, and need to have a little more contrast to distinguish from each other. The letters and equal sign is just telling you what specific string color is too similar to another string color. 🙂

You can ignore the 'pattern already existing' warning when making variations. It only applies when you are creating a new pattern. 😉
