Out of pure curiosity, how do the moderators get their jobs? I'm assuming that they're paid and work certain hours just like one would anywhere else. I noticed a 19 year old mod approved my photo earlier, and I'm 19 next week! Is it possible for me to, hypothetically, get a job as a mod for braceletbook? What sort of requirements are there?

First of all, being a mod is a volunteer job, we don't get payed for what we are doing.Hypothetically at 19 years old you could become a mod, because the minimum age is 18. The age was set to make sure that nobody younger sees anything that might be inappropriate for them during review. To become a moderator you have to be noticed by the moderators by being active on braceletbook and contributing to it. When there is the need for a new moderator (we notice that we can't hold up the review process with the current amount of moderators) moderators will nominate users who they think would be good moderators. Then we vote. We have not needed new mods in a while, so I don't think it is likely that we'll need any new ones soon. |
