how are "similar patterns" determined?

I'm just curious about this. does it work based on keywords, or does it detect matching parts of the pattern itself?

My best guess:Depends on the pattern. In an alpha it’s probably if the drawings look similar In normals it’s probably either if the pattern looks the same and/or the knot structure is the same. I’m leading towards the pattern looking the same Hope this helps 😄 |

Probably also the keywords like you said. I saw a pattern with a backpack keyword and a lot of similar pattern were of backpacks

I had two people copy my patterns and got them taken down. They made #95020 and just put a smile in every row instead of ever other.The other one combined #120588 and #95020. Alphas are if there are only a few tweaks from the original pattern. Like a few spots on a dog’s face and the ear is only one color instead of two |
