I was trying to upload a photo earlier from my desktop (I have a Mac don't know if that makes a difference) but it wouldn't let me upload the photo. it said the file wasn't the right type or something, just wondering if anyone can help me figure it out 🙂

Every time I upload from my computer it messes up and I found that the best way to upload photos is on your phone straight from the camera roll.

yeah it really is best to just upload from the device you took the photo with, because sometimes when you transfer the image file to a different device by whatever means, it can mess with the image. I for one often use Discord as a way to transfer images, but ran into some problems with it messing up the file size/resolution. and i got a photo rejected because of that, but uploading a similar photo directly from my phone was just fine. however, if you're taking the picture with a fancy camera or something (not really necessary, but eh, if you really want to...), or you're trying to mess with the picture with some editing software (such as to add in a "challenge" marker or personal watermark, or some other reason), you may have exported the file in the wrong format. i'm pretty sure that the site won't accept anything but .png and .jpg (i may be wrong about that, though). so if you tried to upload a .psd, .tiff, .webp or some other file type like that, that might be the reason for your problems. imo the safest way to add a "challenge" marker is to literally write "challenge" on a piece of paper and put it on the very edge of the shot. a bit unprofessional, but the chance of errors is very low. |
