Private chats where we can have three to five people (since it's not moderated just like regular pm's, we don't want like 100 users to have access to it.) We can invite people into pre-existing group chats, and if one person wants to remove themself from the group chat they can.

All users in the group will get a notification from every message in the group OR just if they're tagged OR not at all, if you could emplement that as a setting so everyone can choose.

So when you go into the messages page and hit the button to create a new chat thread with a user, just type in two usernames and send the message and it automatically sets it to a group chat. Whereas typing in one username generates plain old pms, where you can’t invite anyone into the thread.

I’m sure this would be hard to implement into both site and app but I think a group chat feature would be awesome.
What do yall think? Feel free to completely shut me down or make suggestions, as this is already only a suggestion/idea :]

Group conversations are actually already in our todo list 🙂 When I was creating the messages feature, I already prepared it in a way that would allow us to add group conversations pretty easily. Your input is still very valuable, because I didn't have all of the details worked out yet, and it contains a lot of very interesting ideas 🙂. Like for example the ability for users to join / leave a group conversation is something I wasn't originally thinking about, or the setting for notifications 🙂
