Is square format supported for photos?

Most of my pics are in square format cause I need them for instagram, so I was wondering if they can be posted here as well or I need to retake them? And if so, which format should it be?

@Kashvi Hi! I don't think that I have ever tried posting pictures in square format, but I think that it should be OK.... 😊

Square format is definitely a good format to post. The preview of all photos on the website is square shaped, so by posting square photos, nothing gets cut off in the preview. I think on the app it might be slightly different.
