There should be a button that you can use to put in new dimensions and it will automatically shrink or enlarge the pattern without having to create an entirely new one

Can you describe in more detail what you mean? Is this about alphas or normals? In "draw alpha" you can click + and - on each side of the pattern to make it bigger or smaller. In "interactive normal" you can do the same (you just have to keep in mind that on the left side you can only add or remove two strings at once to not mess up the pattern) |

If you mean that there should be something like "alpha from image" that should be possible to be used on already existing alpha patterns, you have to keep in mind that you'll have to manually tweak the pattern anyways after using "draw alpha" because the algorithm isn't perfect.

I mean that for a page on an existing pattern there should be a box that you can put in the desired dimensions and the pattern will shrink or enlarged to fit those dimensions that were put in. I know that it would have to be tweaked a little but it would be easier than trying to figure out that specific pattern in new dimensions s

I think it would not be fair to the original creator of the pattern to just take it and change the dimensions because not just the details in a pattern take effort and creativity but also coming up with a good composition and making everything work well together and be balanced 🙂I think your best bet if you want to see a specific pattern in a different size is to either ask the original creator to make one for you or to try to come up with something that is inspired by it yourself or ask someone else to do so. |
