Using dark colors??

I was creating patterns as well as variations and It said I couldnt use black or dark colors. is it just me or what is going on???

Ya it’s a little annoying but if you make it a kind of gray that still looks like black it will go through. It doesn’t look super different either

This actually has a reason, because when there are more black knots next to each other, the pattern grid is not clearly visible, and it's hard to distinguish individual knots.
