Idea to cut down on hate/ bully pms

I have noticed a lot of people reporting hateful pms. So I thought about how this could be cut down. What if you could only pm someone after you post a picture?Like you can only use the chat on advanced. This will prove you actually make bracelets and aren’t just using this site as a tool to bully others. I think people are more hateful in them compared to the chat because they are private. If anyone has a better idea you can Politely say it below. |

that is a good idea but some people aren't able to post photos so maybe you would need to hit a certain rank to pm people. for example when you become advanced you can send friend requests so maybe when you became advanced you could also pm people. it can be easy to hit advanced but maybe if there was a way that it became harder to be advanced then this would work too.

@danielle_3 All the people I saw you aren’t allowed to post photos also aren’t allowed to use pms. The issue with rank is a lot of bullies level up to advanced my adding to dos and then by solely using chat get to bracelet king.

@danielle_3 true..... but i also feel like if people aren’t posting pictures cuz usually i think it’s a privacy reason, then like pms are also kind a security reason too? but i dunno there’s a diff reason for why ppl can’t post pictures

@lucass_ that makes sense too. i think some people just may not want to post photos because they don't want to share their bracelets with people but they still may want to message people for other things. that was the only reason i thought my idea would work but the original one would be good too.

Agreed. Thank you for making this. One idea could be you have to get to a certain rank and post a photo. But maybe messaging moderators should always be allowed or something. I personally have gotten a bunch of hate on here and it’s all based around random stuff, like the way my bracelets look, or my pfp or whatever. Another idea could be that you can get a request to send a message, so once you send a message, the receiver of the message can preview it and decide if they want to decline or not

@GenMalucci Wait, you are onto something there. What if pms worked liked friend requests? You get a request that someone wants to be able to pm you, and you either accept it or decline it. But this feature isn’t effective on mods, super mods, and admin.

Thanks, it’s okay, haters gonna hate. But I think it’s a great idea too! And if you decline it the message disappears. But you can preview or read the message before hand. And maybe the person can’t message you back for a certain amount of time after being declined

@GenMalucci I meant it’s like friends were you have to accept them for them to write you, and you can always remove them if you change your mind, from that privilege

yeah definitely. i think this is a good idea. cuz there were other ideas about like entering age and stuff, but i think the photo thing, or maybe entering a pattern or a certain number of variations, could work too. if ppl don’t wanna post pictures.

@lucass_ the only issue is that one person earlier had nine patterns and variations are easy enough to figure out.
