That means that they participated in a monthly or weekly official challenge made by a mod. They choose some patterns and if you do one and put “challenge” in the photo a mod will accept it and give you a reward. You can also get them for reporting a duplicate pattern and I think also for reporting someone who is being mean/inappropriate. Btw you don’t need to @ the person who made the forum post, it will give a notification whether they do or not. Hope this helped 😄
