How do I remove colors I didn't use from my alpha pattern?

I used the draw alpha option to make a couple of patterns, but for some reason, every color I ended up deleting from the pattern still showed up in the colors used. So for an alpha with 11 colors, it looked like I had 18. My pattern got declined because the old colors were too similar to the new ones but for some reason I can't get rid of them. They just turn white and then the site won't let me submit it because there are multiple whites in the list. It must be some kind of glitch.

Maybe try making all of the unused colors the exact same as a used color. So for example, if you used white/ffff, copy the ffff and paste it on all of your unused colors. Then, press save. Then, go to draw alpha and press save there again. Once you go back to the main page, the colors should be gone.
