I know participating in official challenges gives you rewards, but are there other ways to earn rewards?

yeah reporting duplicate patterns can get you a reward if the pattern you report is too similar or a copy to an older pattern at least I think.

You can get rewards by participating in Official Challenges, reporting duplicate patterns, and reporting issues with the site/app.
