why is generator so sensitive when it comes to black (33333) and any dark is brown i use? visually the colors look very different from each other which can be told apart. Yet the program informs me that they are too close.

I think that is because they are so dark. Also you need to remember that different monitors and devices render color differently.

The similar colors warning is generated by an algorithm based on the specific color codes. As we review patterns, we do take note of the warning but we also look at the colors themselves to determine if they are distinguishable from each other. The generator is not perfect but it does help in a general sense.333333 and 383838 are the darkest blacks we accept. We don't accept super dark colors because it makes it hard to read the pattern and see the individual knots. |
