confused about why my pattern got declined

hey, i really don’t wanna sound like a karen here ASHWKDBWK but my pattern recently got declined because a similar pattern already exists. however, i just saw a ton of different patterns that are all exactly the same, just with different colors (one was red, one was blue, one was purple, etc.) the pattern i made was a minecraft flower, and it got declined because of an existing similar one which is sideways, and has more similar colors in it than mine has, so i’m just a little confused about why i just found a ton that aren’t different versions of the same pattern but look exactly the same???? i’ll attach a photo if i can

i don’t want theirs to get taken down, i’m just a little confused and new to using BB so i just wanna know why mine got declined and if there’s something i can do to make it acceptable 😄

If you look at the patterns that you talked about there are a few differences from each of the patterns (i.g the design on the inside). Your pattern probably got declined because the same pattern that you submitted is the same as the other except it is not flipped on its side.I hope this helps! 😄 |

to help your patterns getting accepted you should try to make your patterns different from any existing ones or add extra details to make it different

I recommend watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nCJH8ROpEs which is by Masha knots and she explains how moderating works and what patterns get accepted and declined. (it may be out of date so also read the FAQ to see the updated rules)
