I don't understand why there are such strict guidelines for adding pictures when admins will accept repeats of the same patterns? My pictures are always getting declined and honestly it feels personal. My pictures are no different than anyone else's, what gives?

They won’t accept duplicate patterns unless it’s an accident or there’s a glitch or something. With your declined photos, there should always be a decline message, whether it be blurriness or lighting or the size of the photo being too big or something. Nothing about it is personal tho. If you feel that a moderator made a mistake, message the moderator who declined it and they will tell you the exact reason so that you can fix it!

hi! moderator here. whenever any moderator declines a pattern or photo or any other submission from a user, it is never anything personal. we have a list of guidelines that we follow when deciding whether to accept or decline a submission. please read the decline message the moderator wrote for your photos, since they explain why your photo was declined. if you need further clarification about why your photo was declined, please feel free to private message the moderator who declined it. we are always happy to help you get your photo submitted. also, keep in mind that if a moderator accepts a duplicate pattern, the pattern was accepted by accident in most cases. as a result, if a moderator sees that it is a duplicate, they report it to the admin, who deletes the duplicate if he agrees. we also allow users to report duplicate patterns, by either commenting on the duplicate or private messaging a moderator. if you would like to know more about our review process, please take a look at the review guidelines. you can find the link either when making a draft of a pattern, or at the bottom of the Bracelet Book page. the guidelines explain which submissions tend to get declined and which tend to get accepted. you can also private message me or any other moderator, if you have any specific questions. i hope that helps! 🙂 |

Hello, I'll try and help answer your question:Decling photos and patterns definitely is never anything personal 🙂 We go through dozens, sometimes even hundreds, of photos every day, so any decision made about your photo or pattern is purely based on that singular photo or pattern that is in front of us at that particular moment. As far as photo submissions, we have a set of guidelines that we try and follow when it comes to accepting vs declining a photo. Some moderators are more lenient on photo submissions than others, but personally, I probably tend to be a little more strict on photo submissions, because when you make something, it's not just a photo of your bracelet that you're showcasing, you're also showcasing another user's pattern, so it's important for both of you that the photo is clear and bright, and the bracelet is clearly in view, know what I mean? We want everyone's work to be shown as best as possible, so if we think a photo could be a little better, we'll decline it. It's definitely nothing personal, and if you have any questions about your photos you can always reach out to the moderator who declined your photo 🙂 |

@PugCakePop a duplicate pattern is a pattern that is the exact same as or extremely similar to a previous pattern. we do not allow duplicates because they are essentially plagiarized. it doesn't really have anything to do with photos, except that if a duplicate pattern with photos gets deleted, then all the photos go to the original pattern. also, some people upload duplicate photos (photos that are the same as previous photos), which the system recognizes and then a moderator would decline the photo, since we don't allow duplicate photos either. 🙂

It's that my background was blurry. I don't see what that has to do with my bracelet. I've seen other pictures with blurry backgrounds.

No @PugCakePop what's meant is a pattern that already exists. If the same pattern exists twice the newer one gets deleted and the older one stays.

@dariadarko a blurry background should not be the reason for a photo do be declined. We only decline photos where the bracelet itself is blurry.I recommend submitting the photo again and maybe you'll get another mod who judges your photo differently. |
